Responsibilities

• Carry out various tube machining operations to meet production targets;
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints and/or examine sample parts to determine the machining needed;
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances; measure and arrange workpieces;
• Set up and operate machines and CNC tooling;
• Check raw materials to ensure compliance with shape, size, and other standards;
• Constantly check that the machining is running smoothly;
• Check the quality of parts using precision measuring tools;
• Notify the foreman of any deviations from specifications and tolerances and correct defects as required;
• File and deburr machined parts;
• Document the work, indicating the quantity of parts produced, and record it in the computer system;
• Write quality control inspection reports;
• Clean and oil the machine (inside and out) on a daily basis;
• Clean precision measuring tools and replace if broken;
• Help pack finished products;
• Handle and pack raw materials and finished products.

Technical skills:

• Ability to read and convert weights and measures in different systems;
• Good ability to spatially represent volumes;
• Manual dexterity and physical fitness;
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, sheets, and instructions;
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with computers;
• Observation skills.

Language skills:

• Functional fluency in French (spoken and written).
